Here are some ideas of the things you can do with your child to help them learn these sight words:
- Form the letters in each word with playdough, or write the words in playdough with a pencil and read the words
- Place the words in a tic tac toe grid - you must read the word before you can place your “x” or “o”!
- Make a second copy of the words and play a game of “Memory” with them
- Write the letters of the alphabet on tape and place each letter on a piece of Lego or set of blocks, and have your child build each word
- Place the words around a room in your home. Call out a word, and ask your child to find that word and run to it!
- When reading a book together, ask your child if they can find any sight words
